AgeJet: Non-ablative skin resurfacing with nitrogen plasma

AgeJET converts medical-grade nitrogen gas into nitrogen plasma to stimulate the natural cell regeneration processes of neocollagenesis and blastogenesis with no ablation. It channels plasma thermal energy through controlled pulses that quickly heat the skin tissue. The thermal energy is conducted via water in the tissue to the deep layers of the skin while purging the oxygen from the treatment area to avoid vaporization of the epidermis. The non-fractional energy uniformly treats the entire dermal architecture. AgeJET's non-ablative approach causes a physiological response without creating an open wound. Instead, the treated skin creates a natural dressing and optimal healing conditions, reducing the risk of infection. Preparing for treatment

2 weeks prior to the treatment:

• Avoid excessive sun exposure or tanning for at least 2 weeks prior to treatment

• Use an SPF 30+ zinc oxide or titanium dioxide-based sunblock and apply thoroughly to all areas intended for treatment

• Additional sun protective measures such as a wide brimmed hat, sunglasses, and sun protective clothing will help to protect your skin before and following your treatment

1 week prior to the treatment

• Avoid exfoliates (scrubs, washes and other treatments that remove the outermost part of the skin)

• Discontinue use of topical tretinoins or retinols

After treatment, the outer layer of the treated skin may eventually peel or flake. You will be provided with post care skincare products. There is no significant downtown with AgeJET. Light erythema (redness) is expected after the treatment and should subside within 3 days. Some patients have reported flaking of the skin or dryness, however, this is dependent upon the intensity of the treatment. You will continue to build collagen and see results improving for up to 12 months following a single treatment.
